balance. organization. motivation.
Whether you need support with your relationships, work/career challenges, anxiety, stress, grief or life transitions, I can offer you guidance and support in gaining a better understanding of your experience and what's possible. I will support you in developing strategies, approaches, and new skills (e.g., communication, assertiveness, boundaries, forgiveness, etc.) to face these challenging situations and gain a greater sense of balance and purpose in your life.
My approach is simple and straightforward —it's centered primarily on my belief that a sense of joy and happiness in one's life is critical, essential and possible.
Today, so many people are over-extended, stressed, working in jobs that make them feel empty and undervalued, unclear about what they really want in their lives and have fears and concerns about truly giving themselves the things they want the most.
The work I do is primarily focused in the here and now. We will focus on what's happening in your day-to-day life and identify aspects you might want to change to create more satisfaction, happiness, creativity and a sense of peace in your life. Together we will make a plan to support you in achieving your goals and aspirations.

My Specialties

I am a licensed psychotherapist, specializing in somatic psychology and an integrated mind-body approach with cognitive psychology principles. Much of my practice is focused on helping others to design and create their lives and their relationships in ways that are most nourishing and personally satisfying.

I specialize in working with adults and couples facing a variety of issues including: life transitions, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety and a range of LGBT issues.

In addition, I specialize in consulting with our aging population and their family members/caregivers. I have helped many families navigate elder care decisions, including: Medicare, assisted living, in-home care as well as supporting the caregiver in emotional preparation for these major life changes. As a consultant, I provide the necessary resources to organize medical affairs, personal finances, and end of life decisions.

My Credentials

I completed my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, CA, specializing in Marriage, Family Therapy and Somatic Psychology. I was a faculty member at the Cortiva Institute, teaching courses in effective communication, assertiveness and boundary setting. I have practiced meditation, mindfulness and toning for over 10 years.
